IDIS systems may be proposed as a complete camera-and-recording ecosystem. Distinguish which video analytics occur in an installed camera, recorder or management software and which require specific hardware or licenses. For a multi-camera facility, ask whether event search works across every proposed model and retained third-party camera.
Demonstration and handover questions
Require a recorded-event demonstration with accurate timestamps, controlled exports and camera-fault alerts. Test expansion limits, storage calculations, administrator recovery, software update path and what happens when a recorder is replaced or an older camera is retained.
